Welfare Project:
FOCUS ON iThemba
r 40 000 towards the renovation of the
ithemba Home
Iqraa
Trust, aiming to make a difference in the lives of the impoverished
people in South Africa, felt moved to donate towards the iThemba
programme. iThemba offers quality care to vulnerable children in the
form of foster homes, education and a solid foundation of love to grow
from.
Foster parents, Frances and Rodney Heathcote, reside on the
Focus on iThemba campus in Hillcrest. The couple foster four children
and with their own two children their home was in desperate need of an
upgrade to accommodate eight individuals.
Iqraa Trust contributed R 40 000 towards the renovations of the
Joseph House, where the Heathcotes reside. With this donation, they were
able to refurbish the kitchen and scullery. This was an essential
upgrade as both were in very poor condition. Thanks to these
enhancements, the Heathcotes have a much improved home to reside in,
allowing them to grow from strength to strength as a family unit.
