EDUCATION PROJECT: GOZOLOLO CENTRE OF NEEDY CHILDREN
UMGABABA - KWAZULU-NATAL - R 350 000

Iqraa Trust has provided funding of R 350 000 to enable Gozololo to complete the construction of a large centre in Umgababa, KwaZulu-Natal.

The concept of providing support services for orphans and vulnerable children through accessible support centres is gaining increasing acceptance and is now being considered a better model than the conventional approach of establishing highly capital intensive orphanages.

The Gozololo Organisation was established in Kwa-Mashu, a township north of Durban in 1997 in response to the need to provide care and support for a growing number of traumatised and orphaned children.

Gozololo has developed an effective model, which is currently reaching approximately 2000 children through 3 centres.
