Education Project:
ENKUKWINI PRIMARY SCHOOL
R 165 000 towards the construction of 5 classrooms

Situated in the township of Groutville near Kwa Dukuza in KwaZulu-Natal this school suffered from very severe overcrowding having to accommodate 867 learners from the disadvantaged Black community in 10 classrooms. To alleviate the severe overcrowding Iqraa Trust funded the construction of 5 classrooms, which have since been named the Iqraa Trust Learning Centre. An interesting feature of this project was the involvement and contribution in the form of labour and skills by the parents of learners at the school reflecting the commitment of the community to providing quality education for the learners.
